Heraha Speaks is brought to you by Rev. Marsha Lehman
How can I be substantial without casting a shadow? I must have a dark side too if I am to be whole; and by becoming conscious of my shadow I remember once more that I am a human being like any other.

Clutter is a Wonder: The Amazing Art of Denial
It is important to practice the Art of Denial in a world that helps us clutter our minds with thoughts of overwhelm, hopelessness, and most of all attitudes of negativity. Here are three practices to help you maintain the same mind clutter that takes up space in your thoughts and ideas.
1. Rather than facing each foreboding idea brought to us by the news media we can turn the TV station to a soap opera.
2. Rather than using our minds to choose productive actions we can sit with our same paralyzing thoughts.
3. And, best of all, rather than cleaning and clearing our consciousness of thoughts and ideas that do not serve us (or anyone else), we can sing the song of Oscar the Grouch (star of Sesame Street), “I love trash, it’s dingy and dusty and dirty…”
By using these practices to continue the flow of thoughts and ideas of self-doubt and denial, we will be sure to remain in the comforting discomfort of our clutter.
