A Quick KISS
Keeping it Simple, Sweetie, is a great summer strategy for living a Menopowered Life. If you haven’t checked the menopause self-help book collection on line or at a bookstore recently, don’t… unless you want to be overwhelmed.
One classic to start your own wisdom collection is Leslie Kenton’s book, Passage to Power: Natural Menopause Revolution. She covers it all while keeping a healthy perspective that focuses on natural changes rather than symptoms.
Why start with one book… because there are so many opinions, such a lot of research and so many unique experiences (as well there should be). Make sure that you stay away from the tendency to put yourself in a frame of mind that says there is something wrong with you if you do not look like the “normal” woman going through menopause. There can also be the temptation to think of menopause as an illness with something to be fixed or cured. This can get rather complex. If you decide to look at all the books, all the on line resources, and all the cd and dvd guides, choosing one that supports you rather than makes the menopause passage full of struggle and problems can put you on the right track of relaxing into this beautiful life passage.
One source that you trust, once source that you can exhaust, one source that can lead you into your own special passage can be reassuring, helpful, and a positive lift into the natural way of your authentic womanly body and mind.
Whether it is Leslie Kenton, Christiane Northrup, Susun S. Weed, or someone else, make your choice intuitive, simple, and non-laborious.
Then, read with lightness, with interest, and with your unique self in mind. Let your studies be about you and the possibility of easing your way along your Menopower Passage.
